Michelle Wilson is a BA (hons) graduate fully-trained photographer from Liverpool, specialising in fashion and portraiture residing in Manchester, covering the north-west of England & beyond.
After attending Southport College to study photography in 2006, Michelle’s interest in photography grew. Continuing with this passion, Michelle attended the University of Central Lancashire to study Photography and achieved a 2-1 BA (Honours) Photography degree. Here Michelle was educated in digital communications, and studied the practical, critical and contextual art of photography.
In her final year, Michelle exhibited work at the UCLAN Graduate Degree Show 2010 and from this was specially selected to exhibit her graduate project in London’s famous Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, as part of the Free Range Show which is the UK’s largest graduate art and design show.
Since graduating from UCLAN in 2010, Michelle has been working as a freelance photographer. From fashion editorials and weddings to acting headshots, Michelle’s talent is diverse and embraces all sectors within photography. Michelle currently has published work on display within Merseyside, ranging from the internationally acclaimed Liverpool’s Women’s Hospital to local businesses such as Scorpio Hairdressers and more recently been published in magazines such as Pickwick, Flawless, Ellements,Lancashire life, Makeup international, Cheshire & Lancashire Bride Magazine, Dark Beauty & Like A Lion magazine.
Michelle has a lifelong passion for photography and loves to work with people, always aiming to capture beauty and life through the lens; she is keen to create photography that conveys meaning and purpose. Previously, Michelle has worked at ‘Start’ in Salford using photo-therapy techniques to help people through mental health difficulties. With her creative background Michelle pushes boundaries to produce the most dramatic and imaginative work possible.
